Alex is a firm owner and responsible for client relationships, portfolio management and investment research. He also manages the firm’s IT resources.
Prior to joining Hanson + Doremus in 2018, Alex spent six years in the client services group at NISA Investment Advisors in St. Louis, Missouri. Before that, he worked in client services for two years at Dwight Asset Management Company in Burlington, Vermont.
Alex holds a BSBA in Finance from The University of Vermont and an MBA from Saint Louis University. He is a CFA® Charterholder and a CFP® Certificant. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Champlain program.
Alex serves as a Trustee for the UVM Health Network’s Home Health and Hospice organization.
Alex’s interests include being outdoors, exercising, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
