Mark joined Hanson+Doremus in 2023 and is responsible for investment research, portfolio management, and client relationships.
Prior to joining Hanson+Doremus, Mark spent six years on The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s open market trading desk where he briefed policy makers on financial market developments and was responsible for analysis related to the Fed’s holdings of mortgage-backed securities (MBS) as well as trillions of dollars of MBS purchases. Mark also covered ESG (environmental, social, and governance) and sustainable finance markets for the Federal Reserve system.
Mark holds a BA in Spanish literature and Russian from Bates College, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and an MA in international economics and finance from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Mark is originally from Portland, Maine and has lived and worked in Ukraine, Bolivia, Italy, Argentina, and for three years in Equatorial Guinea. He lives in Randolph, Vermont with his wife and two daughters and enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and Roadhouse radio on KEXP.
