Sven is a firm owner and head of operations. He manages investment portfolios and advises on financial planning. Sven joined the firm in 2007. Prior to joining Hanson & Doremus, Sven worked as a pricing analyst for a large mutual fund company in Boston.
Sven is a CFP® certificant and holds a BS in Community Development and Applied Economic with concentration in Small Business Management from the University of Vermont. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Champlain program.
Sven lives in Essex, Vermont with his wife and three children. When he is not working, he enjoys skiing, waterskiing, golf, baseball and most importantly coaching sports. Sven enjoys being active in his community and is currently on the board of the Essex Town Little League, Essex United Soccer, Tree Farm Sports, and the Deer Crossing Homeowner’s Association. He also is part of the Leadership Champlain Alumni Committee.
